Go fast, Go hard, but always up the middle.
good thing we fired Cahoon.
How did they convince Hill to let Riley Nelson wear his jersey?
it is nice however to deflate our hopes for anything in the first week of the season, rather than waiting till utah crushes us again. too negative? i dont think so

Back to the US
Since some of you have asked: I get back to the US on the 17th of September. I'll be flying in to Atlanta and then driving back to Utah. That's the plan so far, but then I might head somewhere like Thailand, Australia, New Zealand or Spain for a week or two.

BREAKING NEWS!
only after typing that title did i realize that's the last thing i posted as well... anyway, carl's jr. biscuits and gravy, are nigh incredible in every way. For example:
for christy there is the pasty biscuit, which is better than kfc's mcdonald's or most we have made at home.
for kirk there is the price, $1.29 for a biscuit and sausage gravy, (the biscuits are about the size of dad's large biscuits and 2 are pretty satisfying) even 3 biscuits would be roughly the price of a double-double, luckily kirk cannot purchase a double-double at 6 am, so the biscuits have their niche for kirk.
for jeff there is black pepper and sausage, so it might be too spicy for him, but still incredible.
i could go on, but i won't... but i could.
anyway the point is try them and you will like them and be a better person for it in the end.
oh yeah and there is the bonus that you do not have to make it early in the morning.

Colombia Developments
So, I'm here in Bogota, and after two weeks the organization is offering me a full time, paid position of managing the two Bogota apartments and all of the volunteers . . . what to do? what to do? . . .
Actually I couldn't live here permanently, so there's no way that I could say yes, but I haven't said no yet. I'm meeting with the program manager this afternoon, and she's going to tell me the exact salary and offer. Even though I have no intentions of staying here longer than my six weeks - it's nice to have them think highly enough of me to make such an offer.
Also, any emails are appreciated - and Mom & Dad: are you getting the emails I have sent? I can't tell from the emails that you have sent me since they don't mention anything that I've told you.
Working with the homeless has been awesome!! I aw working in the kitchens at the Mother Theresa of Calcutta homeless shelter (started by the same nuns as Mother Theresa) preparing food all morning and then serve them - then we clean up. I also went to an orphanage one day, but I didn't feel as productive there, even though I had fun playing with the little kids. There are about 15 other volunteers here at any given time.
The food has been pretty tasty. We have a lady named Rosa that cooks for us Mon-Fri, but we're on our own on the weekends. Anything else . . . just email me and ask. I'll put some pics on Facebook soon.
Hugs to all . . .
Shane
