Two Questions and a Comment

1) Does it feel to anyone else like I am taking over the blog?

2) Does it seem that from the moment of my takeover the quality has deteriorated quickly?

Comment: I have often wondered why in the Book of Mormon and Old Testament the righteous were counseled not to mingle with the seed of infidels but wipe them off the face of the earth instead (OT at least). I now know why. The reason: because unfortunately, when the righteous marry one who is undeserving and impure, the righteous saint is usually pulled down instead of the sinner being pulled up. We have no better proof of this historical reality than Valentines Day 2012, when my testimony of this concept was strengthened. I present my iron-clad arguments that would stand up in any court of law:

This last year has flown by, and Tyse will be turning ONE! In honor of this occasion, we will be serving some cake and ice cream Feb. 18th at 5:30 (Saturday). Tyson will then be unwrapping his current toys that will have been mysteriously rewrapped for festivities sake.
Come if you are feeling up for a fun time in Salt Lake. Don't worry about gifts, and I am not just saying that to entice you to come. I mean, how could you not want to see this squinty little face?

The Last Days

This is the most definitive (official-not speculative) statement about the timing of the 2nd Coming that I could find.

Hugh B. Brown - October 1967 Conference (including a couple preceding paragraphs to get the context):

I hope that no man under the sound of our voices here tonight will allow himself to be tempted to do anything that would cause him to blush if it were known by those he loves the most.

I hope that every young man under the sound of my voice will resolve tonight, "I am going to keep myself clean. I am going to serve the Lord. I am going to prepare every way I can for future service, because I want to be prepared when the final battle shall come."

And some of you young men are going to engage in that battle. Some of you are going to engage in the final testing time, which is coming and which is closer to us than we know.

I would say that is pretty clear and that was 55 years ago, meaning those people are now 55 at a minimum and 67 in all likelihood. How much longer do we have left?
