NCAA Power Grab

In light of the recent decision by the NCAA (a private institution) to punish Penn State (a public university) and force them to, among other things, pay $60 million to charity, I thought this article on the NCAA's founding was enlightening.  It is a researched law paper that is 87 pages long - don't worry, 2/3 of that is footnotes.  However, if you have 20 minutes, this is a great example of how small organizations can gain control in interesting ways.

Steel Days 2012

We went to the carnival and to the kids activities in the park today. Here is a picture of the kids with their faces painted. Good times were had by all.

Let the Work Begin

Here is the work we completed tonight. We are starting the process of yet another addition on the house. This is the extra room that will be attached to Dad and Mom's wing. We are planning on pouring the concrete on Tuesday the 24th of July. We can use all the help we can get. Then on Saturday the 28th, we are planning a day of work to do as much work as we can to get the room complete. We will post pictures along the way.

So I'm excited to hear all about the family reunion.  Hope you guys all had a great time.  I will just post a picture here so you can get my updates here as well.   These are just random pictures to entertain you all.  Asher sleeping

 I don't know where this girl comes from.  Definately not me.  She cares more about beauty than comfort.  She slept in these twice to have curly hair the next day.  Go Bryar!!!

 Bridger holding up his picture about sign language saying "I love you".  He is getting to be pretty good at coloring but he only uses one color.  Blue if you couldn't guess from the picture.  He will use different shades of blue when he is being adventerous.
