Robbed!

i hate chicago! no just kidding but i did get my car broken into and my camera and my gps were stolen. two other missionaries camera's were stolen also. we were in the library emailing last week and everything was fine until we came out and found our window shattered and our stuff missing. we called the cops and the cop came and took down our information on the back of a pizza flyer, obviously quite angry to have been pulled from whatever he was doing. the library director however was quite happy to help us and worked and found out they had the guy on camera and he comes to the library quite often.... and thats all people have cared to do, the cops are too lazy to go any further than that and so basically my stuff,(which is probably making its way around the flea market about now) is gone and i won't get any reparations unless the guy decides to turn himself in out of a guilty conscience.(which i'm really banking on) so although i have no camera, no gps, members don't feed me, and i'm broke, i continue to be a missionary. but i guess thats what missions are all about.

Whenever you lock your car in a big city, make sure it looks completely empty - so there's nothing to even tempt a thief.

GPS?? G P S?? What? You don't have a directionally challenged companion telling you to go RIGHT when you know perfectly well it is supposed to be LEFT - but she is the one looking at the map so she must be right so you turn right and when you don't get to where you are going to pull over all sorts of frustrated grab the map and say - in a forced calm way - "it was a left, Sister Egan"

Geez, Wes. Sorry about that.

I see the light is beginning to dawn about missionary work! Congrats for that at least.
